The field notes
What to come here for.
Canonchet describes a 28-acre property accommodating roughly ten to fifteen horses, with indoor and outdoor riding and all-day grass turnout. Its published full-board rate gives an owner a starting number, but the relatively compact public information leaves important routine questions for the visit.
Use that visit to make the care arrangement specific. Ask who notices a change in a horse, who covers days off and what happens when fields cannot be used. If lessons are the reason for your search, establish school-horse availability before making the trip; the offer of instruction does not answer that question.
Our reading of the offer
Worth an owner’s direct inquiry when a smaller barn is the priority. A lesson-only search needs one more phone call first.

$845 / month
Published full-board rate. Instruction and colt-starting services require their own quote; the site does not establish an all-in training package.
Review this reference in the planner ↗A zero additional commitment in the planner means no separate requirement was identified on the reviewed pages. It is still a question to confirm with the farm.
Lessons & getting started.

Instruction and foundation work are advertised. School-horse access, mounted format, session length and lesson pricing need confirmation.
School-horse status: Ask about school horses. An advertised service does not establish a current opening or a suitable match.
Facilities & daily care.
- Indoor and outdoor riding areas
- All-day grass turnout described
- Small boarding population on a 28-acre property
- Instruction, foundation work and colt starting
These are operator descriptions. The list is selective and does not establish every inclusion in a boarding contract.
Take these to the farm
Three useful questions.
- Who provides daily care and covers the regular caregiver’s absence?
- What replaces grass turnout during unsuitable ground conditions?
- Can a rider without a horse book mounted lessons here?
