What is saved.
The site stores your saved farm IDs, visit notes, checklist choices and planner entries in this browser’s local storage. It does not submit those entries to PlainHorseFarm or to a farm. There is no cloud sync; another browser or device starts with a separate notebook.
Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see these entries. Download a copy before clearing site data, moving devices or relying on a browser that may discard local storage.
What links reveal.
Directory links can contain the filters you selected. A visit or planner link can identify the farm you are viewing. Those links do not contain the personal notes or quoted amounts in your worksheets. Downloads do contain the notes you choose to export, so keep or share those files accordingly.
When browser saving is unavailable.
The tools keep the current work in memory and display a notice if browser storage fails. Download before leaving the page. A reload may lose work that could not be stored.
How to remove your work.
The planner can reset its own budget. A visit worksheet can clear its own notes. Removing a farm from the comparison keeps its visit worksheet so that changing your shortlist does not discard your research.
To remove every PlainHorseFarm note and setting, clear this site’s stored data in your browser settings. That affects this browser only; downloaded files remain wherever you saved them.
Outside services.
The site serves its fonts, images and map locally. It has no embedded social feeds. Following a farm, reference or credit link takes you to that operator’s website and its own data practices. Hosting infrastructure may maintain ordinary request logs when the site is published.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your approximate region and your device type.
If you're in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, it runs without cookies. Everywhere else it sets first-party cookies so it can tell a return visit from a new one.
Google explains what it does with this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with Google's opt-out add-on or any content blocker.
