The field notes
What to come here for.
Dry Brook pairs a large outdoor arena with an attached indoor in the hills of western Massachusetts. Its published program includes ordinary lessons and boarding alongside Holly Shockro’s Western performance and cow-horse work. That specialist instruction is the reason to look beyond a generic boarding comparison.
Match the inquiry to the riding you actually want to do. Someone learning basic balance needs a different lesson arrangement from an owner bringing a horse for cattle work. The service menu separates those rates; it does not establish which horse, cattle access or equipment is included in every session.
Our reading of the offer
A focused inquiry for Western and ranch riders. Clarify the lesson setup before comparing its specialist rates.

Review this reference in the planner ↗A zero additional commitment in the planner means no separate requirement was identified on the reviewed pages. It is still a question to confirm with the farm.

The service page also lists cow-horse lessons at $100–125. Session lengths and availability of a suitable school horse need confirmation when booking.
School-horse status: Ask about school horses. An advertised service does not establish a current opening or a suitable match.

Take these to the farm
Three useful questions.
- Can you provide a school horse for my experience and chosen discipline?
- What is included in the cow-horse lesson rate?
- Which turnout group or individual paddock would this horse use?
